Venus enters sidereal Virgo tomorrow, and will remain there until 18 Sep 2024, when it will enter Libra. 

Venus is said to be debilitated in the sign of Virgo. One simple way to look at the concept of “debilitation” is that the planet involved does not have the strength and resources to do its job well.

It is like a student wanting to study and do well in class, but it doesn’t have, or couldn’t afford, textbooks, writing materials etc, and has to resort to sharing or borrowing from friends. 

In the case of Venus, it is the planet of love, romance and relationships. However, the sign of Virgo is all about details, the “nitty-gritty” and getting things perfect.

Relationships deepen and bloom when both parties are generous and give without asking for anything in return. However, when Venus is in Virgo, love becomes “calculated”. I did this and that for you, so you should do this and that for me. The relationship becomes transactional. Venus in the Virgo does not have the resource of “generosity”, and the quality of relationships suffers.

If you have a very strong Venus in your birth chart, this Venus transit through Virgo wouldn’t have much impact given its transient nature. 

But if Venus is weak in your birth chart, and your experience of relationships is indeed not ideal, then you may wish to put more care and attention on your significant other. 

In either case, it never hurts to shower your partner with more love, attention and understanding. Tomorrow is a Sunday, perfect time for a lovely brunch or breakfast in bed.
