2025 is just around the corner and it is time to have a glimpse of what may come in this new year. But first, some preliminaries.

This series is arranged by rising signs or ascendants, not your Sun sign. Secondly, these rising signs are based on the sidereal zodiac, not the more commonly seen tropical zodiac.

Please also note that these forecasts are based only on your rising sign and does not take your whole natal chart into account. The planets in your natal chart will further modify these forecasts, so if you would like a more accurate forecast, it is best that you get a reading from your astrologer.

Right, let’s get to the focus of this post. This series will focus on the transits of the slower moving planets, namely Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. All of these planets will change signs during the 2nd quarter of 2025, which can make this a rather eventful period.

Transit of Jupiter

Below lists the transit of Jupiter through the zodiac signs in 2025.

• 15 May 2025 ingress into Gemini
• 18 Oct 2025 ingress into Cancer (exaltation)
• 12 Nov 2025 station retrograde in Cancer
• 5 Dec 2025 retrograde back into Gemini

Among the 9 “planets”, Jupiter is the greatest benefic. It brings blessings, expansion, opportunities and protection wherever it goes.

For those with Aries as their rising sign, Jupiter has been in your 2nd House since 1 May 2024 (i.e. for the past 7 months) and will remain here until 15 May 2025. The 2nd House signifies our finances and savings, and Jupiter’s transit here during this period is wonderful for accumulating and growing your wealth, particularly savings and fixed assets.

On 15 May 2025, Jupiter moves into Gemini, which is the 3rd House for Aries rising charts. The 3rd House signifies teachings from the guru and short journeys. Jupiter’s transit here during this period can bring wonderful teachings from a guru. Embarking on short journeys can also be fruitful for you.

On 18 Oct 2025, Jupiter will leave Gemini briefly and enter Cancer, i.e. Jupiter’s blessing on the 3rd House will be paused. Cancer is the sign of exaltation for Jupiter, i.e. it is the sign where Jupiter is most able to bring forth his blessings.

Cancer is in the 4th House of our physical home, our emotions, and our mother. Jupiter’s blessings in the 4th House may come in the form of you finally moving into your own home, groundedness and stability in your emotional health, or blessings to your mother (perhaps health wise or financially). Jupiter’s stay in Cancer is pretty short in 2025, 18 Oct to 12 Nov 2025, but there is more to come in 2026.

Jupiter will start moving backwards (retrograde) on 12 Nov 2025, before re-entering Gemini on 5 Dec, where the blessings on the 3rd House mentioned above will resume.

Transit of Saturn

Unlike Jupiter, Saturn is a malefic planet, i.e. it causes problems and difficulties wherever it goes. Saturn tends to bring a sense of tediousness and contraction. What used to be easy and quick now seems to take more time and effort. Saturn also tends to dull the colours of life and makes things more monotone.

Saturn has been in the sign of Aquarius since 23 Oct 2022, which is in the 11th House for Aries rising and will remain here until 30 Mar 2025. Though it is a malefic, being in its own sign of Aquarius will make Saturn better behaved, and still grant benefits along side with challenges.

The 11th House represents our income and friends. Saturn in his own sign here can indicate income from Saturn-related industries, such as agriculture and farming, or dealing with antiques. There is also a greater likelihood of you forming friendships with older folks.

Saturn moves into Pisces in the 12th House on 30 Mar 2025, and will remain here for the rest of 2025. The 12th House signifies expenses and foreign travel. When Saturn is here, it can bring about delays during overseas travels or perhaps make your holidays feel less exciting and joyful as it used to. If you happen to work with foreign companies, Saturn here can mean delays in negotiations or signing of contracts. It is best that you cater more time than you think you need, to minimise the impact of any delays that you may encounter.

Transit of Rahu

Like Saturn, Rahu, also known as the North Node, is also a malefic and signifies that which is unfamiliar and foreign. It can also represent things and events that are unexpected, sudden, or shocking.

Rahu is currently in the sign of Pisces in the 12th House. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. As mentioned earlier, the 12th House signifies expenses and foreign travel. Rahu here can bring about sudden and unexpected expenses, so you may wish to have extra savings on standby. If you are travelling overseas, do take extra precaution for your safety and that of your possessions. Trust your gut feel and avoid places that seem dodgy and suspicious.

On 18 May 2025, Rahu will enter Aquarius in the 11th House, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Like Saturn, Rahu is also the lord of Aquarius, so Rahu will not cause as much difficulty and challenges as he would in other signs.

The 11th House represents our income and friends. Rahu here can indicate income from overseas, such from overseas investments or perhaps your clients are primarily foreigners. Rahu can also bring foreign friends, so it is a good time to travel overseas and meet people outside of your usual circle.

Transit of Ketu

Ketu is the shadowy twin of Rahu and is also a malefic. Ketu is associated with confusion and uncertainty. Wherever it is in the chart, there tends to be a sense of being lost and not knowing what to do.

Ketu is currently in Virgo. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. For Aries rising charts, Virgo is the 6th House of health issues and injuries. Ketu here can bring about health problems, such as those caused by viral infections or parasites. It may also indicate injuries as a result of errors or mistakes. So please do take good care of yourself.

On 18 May 2025, Ketu will enter Leo, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Leo is in the 5th House of children. Ketu here may indicate your children going through a phase that is confusing for them. As a parent, this is a time for you to help them make sense of their experiences and offer your guidance.
