2025 is just around the corner and it is time to have a glimpse of what may come in this new year. But first, some preliminaries.

This series is arranged by rising signs or ascendants, not your Sun sign. Secondly, these rising signs are based on the sidereal zodiac, not the more commonly seen tropical zodiac.

Please also note that these forecasts are based only on your rising sign and does not take your whole natal chart into account. The planets in your natal chart will further modify these forecasts, so if you would like a more accurate forecast, it is best that you get a reading from your astrologer.

Right, let’s get to the focus of this post. This series will focus on the transits of the slower moving planets, namely Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. All of these planets will change signs during the 2nd quarter of 2025, which can make this a rather eventful period.

Transit of Jupiter

Below lists the transit of Jupiter through the zodiac signs in 2025.

• 15 May 2025 ingress into Gemini
• 18 Oct 2025 ingress into Cancer (exaltation)
• 12 Nov 2025 station retrograde in Cancer
• 5 Dec 2025 retrograde back into Gemini

Among the 9 “planets”, Jupiter is the greatest benefic. It brings blessings, expansion, opportunities and protection wherever it goes.

For those with Taurus as their rising sign, Jupiter has been in your 1st House since 1 May 2024 (i.e. for the past 7 months) and will remain here until 15 May 2025. The 1st House signifies our health and vitality, and Jupiter here can indicate a period of good health. If you have existing illnesses and pains, you may also find relief during this time, or in some cases, even the right treatment for it.

On 15 May 2025, Jupiter moves into Gemini, which is the 2nd House for Taurus rising charts. The 2nd House signifies finances and savings, and Jupiter’s transit here during this period is wonderful for accumulating and growing your wealth, particularly savings and fixed assets.

On 18 Oct 2025, Jupiter will leave Gemini briefly and enter Cancer, i.e. Jupiter’s blessing on the 2nd House will be paused. Cancer is the sign of exaltation for Jupiter, i.e. it is the sign where Jupiter is most able to bring forth his blessings.

Cancer is in the 3rd House of teachings from the guru and short journeys. Jupiter’s transit here during this period can bring wonderful teachings from a well-respected guru. Embarking on short journeys can also be very fruitful for expanding your social circle or building wealth. Jupiter’s stay in Cancer is pretty short in 2025, 18 Oct to 12 Nov 2025, but there is more to come in 2026.

Jupiter will start moving backwards (retrograde) on 12 Nov 2025, before re-entering Gemini on 5 Dec, where the blessings on the 2nd House mentioned above will resume.

Transit of Saturn

Unlike Jupiter, Saturn is a malefic planet, i.e. it causes problems and difficulties wherever it goes. Saturn tends to bring a sense of tediousness and contraction. What used to be easy and quick now seems to take more time and effort. Saturn also tends to dull the colours of life and makes things more monotone.

Saturn has been in the sign of Aquarius since 23 Oct 2022, which is in the 10th House for Taurus rising and will remain here until 30 Mar 2025. Though it is a malefic, being in its own sign of Aquarius will make Saturn better behaved, and still grant benefits along side with challenges.

The 10th House represents our career. Although Saturn here indicates a period of hard work and you may find that things at work moves slower than you would like, these efforts will pay off in the long run in terms of establishing yourself in your chosen field. It is helpful to take a long-term view of the work you are putting in rather than be overly focused on short-term returns.

Saturn finally moves into Pisces in the 11th House on 30 Mar 2025, and will remain here for the rest of 2025. The 11th House represents our income and friends. If you run your own business, Saturn here can indicate a period where your income gets delayed and comes in later than you would like.

Saturn can also indicate a shrinkage of your social circle. You may find yourself unable to connect as deeply with your friends as before, or perhaps both you and your friends are preoccupied with your own commitments and meet up less often. This can be a period where you identify and focus on the relationships that truly matter to you.

Transit of Rahu

Like Saturn, Rahu, also known as the North Node, is also a malefic and signifies that which is unfamiliar and foreign. It can also represent things and events that are unexpected, sudden, or shocking.

Rahu is currently in the sign of Pisces in the 11th House. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. As mentioned earlier, the 11th House represents our income and friends. Rahu here can indicate income that is inconsistent and sporadic, rather than a regular, monthly salary. Rahu can also make you feel like an outsider with your current social circle, and the topics that you and your friends care about are no longer the same. There are fewer topics of interest or points of connection to sustain the relationships.

On 18 May 2025, Rahu will enter Aquarius in the 10th House, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Like Saturn, Rahu is also the lord of Aquarius, so Rahu will not cause as much difficulty and challenges as he would in other signs.

The 10th House represents our career, and Rahu here can indicate an “overseas” element in your work. You may move overseas for work, or join a foreign company. If you run your own business, there may more be foreign clients seeking your services. If there is a foreign market that you wish to make headway into, now (before 18 May 2025) is a good time to start making preparations.

Transit of Ketu

Ketu is the shadowy twin of Rahu and is also a malefic. Ketu is associated with confusion and uncertainty. Wherever it is in the chart, there tends to be a sense of being lost and not knowing what to do.

Ketu is currently in Virgo. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. For Taurus rising charts, Virgo is the 5th House of children. Ketu here may indicate your children going through a phase that is confusing for them. As a parent, this is a time for you to help them make sense of their experiences and offer your guidance.

On 18 May 2025, Ketu will enter Leo, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Leo is in the 4th House of emotions. Ketu here can indicate a period where there is a disconnect between your head and your heart, i.e. you lose connection and have difficulty making sense of what you are feeling and experiencing, not too different from what your child may have gone through as mentioned above.

Emotions play an important role in helping us make decisions, especially those that do not have clear pros and cons, so you may experience challenges making important decisions. You may wish to find a trusted person to talk through your experiences and have this person help identify the underlying emotions. This can be helpful in rebuilding the head-heart connection and make better decisions.
