2025 is just around the corner and it is time to have a glimpse of what may come in this new year. But first, some preliminaries.

This series is arranged by rising signs or ascendants, not your Sun sign. Secondly, these rising signs are based on the sidereal zodiac, not the more commonly seen tropical zodiac.

Please also note that these forecasts are based only on your rising sign and does not take your whole natal chart into account. The planets in your natal chart will further modify these forecasts, so if you would like a more accurate forecast, it is best that you get a reading from your astrologer.

Right, let’s get to the focus of this post. This series will focus on the transits of the slower moving planets, namely Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. All of these planets will change signs during the 2nd quarter of 2025, which can make this a rather eventful period.

Transit of Jupiter

Below lists the transit of Jupiter through the zodiac signs in 2025.

• 15 May 2025 ingress into Gemini
• 18 Oct 2025 ingress into Cancer (exaltation)
• 12 Nov 2025 station retrograde in Cancer
• 5 Dec 2025 retrograde back into Gemini

Among the 9 “planets”, Jupiter is the greatest benefic. It brings blessings, expansion, opportunities and protection wherever it goes.

For those with Gemini as their rising sign, Jupiter has been in your 12th House since 1 May 2024 (i.e. for the past 7 months) and will remain here until 15 May 2025. The 12th House signifies expenses and things of a foreign nature. Jupiter here can indicate an increase in expenses, though it is likely to be on educating and upgrading yourself. There can also be blessings from foreign things, people or places.

On 15 May 2025, Jupiter moves into Gemini, which is the 1st House for Gemini rising charts. The 1st House signifies our health and vitality, and Jupiter here can indicate a period of good health. If you have existing illnesses and pains, you may also find relief during this time, or in some cases, even the right treatment for it.

On 18 Oct 2025, Jupiter will leave Gemini briefly and enter Cancer, i.e. Jupiter’s blessing on the 1st House will be paused. Cancer is the sign of exaltation for Jupiter, i.e. it is the sign where Jupiter is most able to bring forth his blessings.

Cancer is in the 2nd House of finances and savings, and Jupiter’s transit here during this period is wonderful for accumulating and growing your wealth, particularly savings and fixed assets. Jupiter’s stay in Cancer is pretty short in 2025, 18 Oct to 12 Nov 2025, but there is more to come in 2026.

Jupiter will start moving backwards (retrograde) on 12 Nov 2025, before re-entering Gemini on 5 Dec, where the blessings on the 1st House mentioned above will resume.

Transit of Saturn

Unlike Jupiter, Saturn is a malefic planet, i.e. it causes problems and difficulties wherever it goes. Saturn tends to bring a sense of tediousness and contraction. What used to be easy and quick now seems to take more time and effort. Saturn also tends to dull the colours of life and makes things more monotone.

Saturn has been in the sign of Aquarius since 23 Oct 2022, which is in the 9th House for Gemini rising and will remain here until 30 Mar 2025. Though it is a malefic, being in its own sign of Aquarius will make Saturn better behaved, and still grant benefits along side with challenges.

The 9th House represents our father and dharma (loosely translated as “duty”). Saturn here can indicate physical or emotional distance from the father, or you may find that your father ages rather quickly during this period. Staying connected with or taking care of your father can take more effort than it used to, but there is no better time for us to fulfil our duties as a child than when our parents need us most. Time sometimes flies faster than we think.

Saturn finally moves into Pisces in the 10th House on 30 Mar 2025, and will remain here for the rest of 2025. The 10th House represents our career and Saturn here can indicate difficulties in our work. You may encounter obstacles and delays in your work, and that you have to put in more effort than before just to achieve similar results. If possible, cater more time than you think you need, so that any delays or obstacles that show up along the way does not create too big a disruption to your work.

Transit of Rahu

Like Saturn, Rahu, also known as the North Node, is also a malefic and signifies that which is unfamiliar and foreign. It can also represent things and events that are unexpected, sudden, or shocking.

Rahu is currently in the sign of Pisces in the 10th House. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. As mentioned earlier, the 10th House represents our career. Rahu here can indicate sudden and unexpected disruptions at work. Perhaps the project that you have put in so many hours for suddenly gets cancelled, or the deal that you spent months negotiating for falls through right before the contract is signed.

On 18 May 2025, Rahu will enter Aquarius in the 9th House, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Like Saturn, Rahu is also the lord of Aquarius, so Rahu will not cause as much difficulty and challenges as he would in other signs.

The 9th House signifies our father, dharma and also our beliefs. Like Saturn, Rahu can also indicate health challenges for the father, or bring up situations with your father that lets you see a side of him never seen before, such that you start to feel as though you don’t know him as well as you think.

Rahu transiting through the 9th House can also bring resistance and disagreement to the duty that you have to perform, or may even bring mistrust of the belief system that you are familiar with. This can be a period of inner work where you seek to clarify your role and your duty, and find one that is acceptable for you.

Transit of Ketu

Ketu is the shadowy twin of Rahu and is also a malefic. Ketu is associated with confusion and uncertainty. Wherever it is in the chart, there tends to be a sense of being lost and not knowing what to do.

Ketu is currently in Virgo. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. For Gemini rising charts, Virgo is the 4th House of emotions and mother. Ketu here can indicate a period where there is a disconnect between your head and your heart, i.e. you lose connection and have difficulty making sense of what you are feeling and experiencing.

Emotions play an important role in helping us make decisions, especially those that do not have clear pros and cons, so you may experience challenges making important decisions. You may wish to find a trusted person to talk through your experiences and have this person help identify the underlying emotions. This can be helpful in rebuilding the head-heart connection and make better decisions.

On 18 May 2025, Ketu will enter Leo, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Leo is in the 3rd House of siblings. During this period, your siblings might be going through a phase of confusion and uncertainty, somewhat similar to what your experiences mentioned above. This might have a knock-on effect on your relationship with them. You may wish to check in more with them and be a source of support.
