2025 is just around the corner and it is time to have a glimpse of what may come in this new year. But first, some preliminaries.

This series is arranged by rising signs or ascendants, not your Sun sign. Secondly, these rising signs are based on the sidereal zodiac, not the more commonly seen tropical zodiac.

Please also note that these forecasts are based only on your rising sign and does not take your whole natal chart into account. The planets in your natal chart will further modify these forecasts, so if you would like a more accurate forecast, it is best that you get a reading from your astrologer.

Right, let’s get to the focus of this post. This series will focus on the transits of the slower moving planets, namely Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. All of these planets will change signs during the 2nd quarter of 2025, which can make this a rather eventful period.

Transit of Jupiter

Below lists the transit of Jupiter through the zodiac signs in 2025.

• 15 May 2025 ingress into Gemini
• 18 Oct 2025 ingress into Cancer (exaltation)
• 12 Nov 2025 station retrograde in Cancer
• 5 Dec 2025 retrograde back into Gemini

Among the 9 “planets”, Jupiter is the greatest benefic. It brings blessings, expansion, opportunities and protection wherever it goes.

For those with Cancer as their rising sign, Jupiter has been in your 11th House since 1 May 2024 (i.e. for the past 7 months) and will remain here until 15 May 2025. The 11th House signifies income and friends. Jupiter here can bring about an increase in income, and it is also a good period to make new friends and expand your social circle.

On 15 May 2025, Jupiter moves into Gemini, which is the 12th House for Cancer rising charts. The 12th House of expenses and things of a foreign nature. Jupiter here can indicate an increase in expenses, though it is likely to be on educating and upgrading yourself. There can also be blessings from foreign things, people or places.

On 18 Oct 2025, Jupiter will leave Gemini briefly and enter Cancer, i.e. Jupiter’s blessing on the 12th House will be paused. Cancer is the sign of exaltation for Jupiter, i.e. it is the sign where Jupiter is most able to bring forth his blessings.

Cancer is in the 1st House of health and vitality, and Jupiter’s transit here can be a huge blessing and protection for your health. It is likely for you to find relief for existing illnesses and pains. In some cases, you might even finally find the right treatment for it. Jupiter’s stay in Cancer is pretty short in 2025, but there is more to come in 2026.

Jupiter will start moving backwards (retrograde) on 12 Nov 2025, before re-entering Gemini on 5 Dec, where the blessings on the 12th House mentioned above will resume.

Transit of Saturn

Unlike Jupiter, Saturn is a malefic planet, i.e. it causes problems and difficulties wherever it goes. Saturn tends to bring a sense of tediousness and contraction. What used to be easy and quick now seems to take more time and effort. Saturn also tends to dull the colours of life and makes things more monotone.

Saturn has been in the sign of Aquarius since 23 Oct 2022, which is in the 8th House for Cancer rising and will remain here until 30 Mar 2025. Though it is a malefic, being in its own sign of Aquarius will make Saturn better behaved, and still grant benefits along side with challenges.

The 8th House represents loans. Saturn here may indicate taking on a long-term loan, such for your business or education, Though the repayment of the loan can involve a lot of hard work, the loan is supporting you to take an upward climb in life, rather than a loan to cope with an emergency.

Saturn finally moves into Pisces on 30 Mar 2025, and will remain here for the rest of 2025. Pisces is the 9th House for Cancer rising and represents father and dharma(loosely translates as “duty”). The dharma or “duty” that you have to perform during this period may feel burdensome and heavy to carry. Saturn’s transit here can also indicate physical or emotional distance from the father or health challenges for the father, so do check in regularly to see how he is doing, and if he needs any help.

Transit of Rahu

Like Saturn, Rahu, also known as the North Node, is also a malefic and signifies that which is unfamiliar and foreign. It can also represent things and events that are unexpected, sudden, or shocking.

Rahu is currently in the sign of Pisces in the 9th House. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. As mentioned earlier, the 9th House represents father and dharma. Like Saturn, Rahu can also indicate health challenges for the father, or bring up situations with your father that lets you see a side of him never seen before, such that you start to feel as though you don’t know him as well as you think.

Rahu transiting through the 9th House can bring resistance and disagreement to the duty that you have to perform, or may even bring mistrust of the belief system that you are familiar with. This can be a period of inner work where you seek to clarify your role and your duty, and find one that is acceptable for you.

On 18 May 2025, Rahu will enter Aquarius in the 8th House, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Like Saturn, Rahu is also the lord of Aquarius, so Rahu will not cause as much difficulty and challenges as he would in other signs.

The 8th House represents loans. Rahu here can indicate overseas loans, or loans for an overseas investment. In some cases, Rahu in the 8th House can also indicate returns from foreign investments made previously.

Transit of Ketu

Ketu is the shadowy twin of Rahu and is also a malefic. Ketu is associated with confusion and uncertainty. Wherever it is in the chart, there tends to be a sense of being lost and not knowing what to do.

Ketu is currently in Virgo. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. For Cancer rising charts, Virgo is the 3rd House of siblings. During this period, your siblings might be going through a phase of confusion and uncertainty, which might have a knock-on effect on your relationship with them. You may wish to check in more with them and be a source of support.

On 18 May 2025, Ketu will enter Leo, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Leo is in the 2nd House of finances and savings. Ketu is associated with the number “0”, so its placement in this house can indicate difficulty growing your savings, and may indicate a dip instead. If you have any fixed assets, it is possible that they do not grow in value during this period. Between now and 18 May 2025, you may wish to be more prudent with your expenditure and focus on growing your savings before Ketu enters the 2nd House.
