2025 is just around the corner and it is time to have a glimpse of what may come in this new year. But first, some preliminaries.

This series is arranged by rising signs or ascendants, not your Sun sign. Secondly, these rising signs are based on the sidereal zodiac, not the more commonly seen tropical zodiac.

Please also note that these forecasts are based only on your rising sign and does not take your whole natal chart into account. The planets in your natal chart will further modify these forecasts, so if you would like a more accurate forecast, it is best that you get a reading from your astrologer.

Right, let’s get to the focus of this post. This series will focus on the transits of the slower moving planets, namely Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. All of these planets will change signs during the 2nd quarter of 2025, which can make this a rather eventful period.

Transit of Jupiter

Below lists the transit of Jupiter through the zodiac signs in 2025.

• 15 May 2025 ingress into Gemini
• 18 Oct 2025 ingress into Cancer (exaltation)
• 12 Nov 2025 station retrograde in Cancer
• 5 Dec 2025 retrograde back into Gemini

Among the 9 “planets”, Jupiter is the greatest benefic. It brings blessings, expansion, opportunities and protection wherever it goes.

For those with Virgo as their rising sign, Jupiter has been in your 9th House since 1 May 2024 (i.e. for the past 7 months) and will remain here until 15 May 2025. The 9th House signifies father, guru and dharma. Jupiter here can indicate fortune and blessings from the father and/or the guru. You may also come across a wonderful teacher that will provide the right guidance and counsel for you. Dharma can loosely be understood as “duty”, so Jupiter here can represent reaping the fruits from the duties you had performed previously.

On 15 May 2025, Jupiter moves into Gemini, which is the 10th House for Virgo rising charts. The 10th House signifies career. Jupiter’s transit here can bring a promotion to a higher position at work or an access to greater resources that can facilitate your work. Jupiter can also bring about an increase in positive reputation.

On 18 Oct 2025, Jupiter will leave Gemini briefly and enter Cancer, i.e. Jupiter’s blessing on the 10th House will be paused. Cancer is the sign of exaltation for Jupiter, i.e. it is the sign where Jupiter is most able to bring forth his blessings. For Virgo rising charts, Cancer is in the 11th House of income and friends. Jupiter here can bring about an increase in income, and it is also a good period to make new friends and expand your social circle.

Jupiter will start moving backwards (retrograde) on 12 Nov 2025, before re-entering Gemini on 5 Dec, where the blessings on the 10th House mentioned above will resume.

Transit of Saturn

Unlike Jupiter, Saturn is a malefic planet, i.e. it causes problems and difficulties wherever it goes. Saturn tends to bring a sense of tediousness and contraction. What used to be easy and quick now seems to take more time and effort. Saturn also tends to dull the colours of life and makes things more monotone.

Saturn has been in the sign of Aquarius since 23 Oct 2022, which is in the 6th House for Virgo rising and will remain here until 30 Mar 2025. Though it is a malefic, being in its own sign of Aquarius will make Saturn better behaved, and still grant benefits along side with challenges.

The 6th House represents health issues and pets. Saturn here can bring about tiredness and fatigue, and you should take it as a signal for you to take a break and rest so that it doesn’t develop into a burnout. Saturn may also bring up illnesses that have been developing in the body for some time. So please do go for a health check up if you haven’t done so in recent time, and allocate sufficient time to rest and recharge. If you have pets, there is a greater likelihood of your pets falling ill, so please keep an eye out on their health so that they can get treated promptly if they do fall sick.

Saturn finally moves into Pisces on 30 Mar 2025, and will remain here for the rest of 2025. Pisces is the 7th House for Virgo rising and represents relationships. Saturn here can indicate physical and/or emotional distance between you and your partner. As Saturn enters this house, it may be your partner’s turn to experience the tiredness and fatigue that you had experienced in this past year. Hence, your partner could be needing more time by himself to rest and recharge.

Though it is important for us to have our own space to be by ourselves, relationships do need love, care and time to nurture. So it is important for both you and your partner to continue making the effort to connect and be with each other.

Transit of Rahu

Like Saturn, Rahu, also known as the North Node, is also a malefic and signifies that which is unfamiliar and foreign. It can also represent things and events that are unexpected, sudden, or shocking.

Rahu is currently in the sign of Pisces in the 7th House. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. As mentioned earlier, the 7th House represents our relationships. Rahu in this house can indicate your partner behaving in a way that is unfamiliar and unexpected for you. There can also be moments of distrust between the two of you. As with any relationship, communication is key to dispelling the fog, and making sure that you both are on the same page, and moving in the same direction within the relationship.

On 18 May 2025, Rahu will enter Aquarius in the 6th House of health issues and pets, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Like Saturn, Rahu is also the lord of Aquarius, so Rahu will not cause as much difficulty and challenges as he would in other signs.

Rahu’s transit here can bring up sudden and unexpected illnesses or even accidents, so please get a health checkup if you haven’t gotten one in recent times. The 6th House can also represent employees, and Rahu’s presence here can indicate working with foreign employees. However, Rahu may also bring about trust issues with your employees. It is best to clarify matters clearly with your team and make sure everyone is on the same page.

Transit of Ketu

Ketu is the shadowy twin of Rahu and is also a malefic. Ketu is associated with confusion and uncertainty. Wherever it is in the chart, there tends to be a sense of being lost and not knowing what to do.

Ketu is currently in Virgo. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. For Virgo rising charts, Virgo is the 1st House of health and vitality. Ketu here can indicate health issues that are difficult to diagnose and treat. Ketu can also bring about confusion, or events that you find difficult to comprehend and make sense of.

On 18 May 2025, Ketu will enter Leo, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Leo is in the 12th House of expenses and foreign travel. Ketu here can indicate additional expenses due to mistakes and errors. Perhaps you forgot to make an advance reservation for a train ticket and end up having to pay much more when you purchase the ticket on the day of travel. You may wish to be more careful and thorough when it comes to expenses and planning for overseas travel.
