2025 is just around the corner and it is time to have a glimpse of what may come in this new year. But first, some preliminaries.

This series is arranged by rising signs or ascendants, not your Sun sign. Secondly, these rising signs are based on the sidereal zodiac, not the more commonly seen tropical zodiac.

Please also note that these forecasts are based only on your rising sign and does not take your whole natal chart into account. The planets in your natal chart will further modify these forecasts, so if you would like a more accurate forecast, it is best that you get a reading from your astrologer.

Right, let’s get to the focus of this post. This series will focus on the transits of the slower moving planets, namely Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. All of these planets will change signs during the 2nd quarter of 2025, which can make this a rather eventful period.

Transit of Jupiter

Below lists the transit of Jupiter through the zodiac signs in 2025.

• 15 May 2025 ingress into Gemini
• 18 Oct 2025 ingress into Cancer (exaltation)
• 12 Nov 2025 station retrograde in Cancer
• 5 Dec 2025 retrograde back into Gemini

Among the 9 “planets”, Jupiter is the greatest benefic. It brings blessings, expansion, opportunities and protection wherever it goes.

For those with Libra as their rising sign, Jupiter has been in your 8th House since 1 May 2024 (i.e. for the past 7 months) and will remain here until 15 May 2025. The 8th House signifies loans, chronic illnesses and arcane studies such as astrology. Jupiter in this house can indicate repayment of previous loans, relief for chronic illnesses (though not necessarily a cure) or meeting a guru(Jupiter signifies teachers and gurus) that you can learn arcane studies from.

On 15 May 2025, Jupiter moves into Gemini, which is the 9th House for Libra rising charts. The 9th House signifies father, guru and dharma. Jupiter here can indicate fortune and blessings from the father and/or the guru. You may also come across a wonderful teacher that will provide the right guidance and counsel for you. Dharma can loosely be understood as “duty”, so Jupiter here can represent reaping the fruits from the duties you had performed previously.

On 18 Oct 2025, Jupiter will leave Gemini briefly and enter Cancer, i.e. Jupiter’s blessing on the 9th House will be paused. Cancer is the sign of exaltation for Jupiter, i.e. it is the sign where Jupiter is most able to bring forth his blessings. For Libra rising charts, Cancer is in the 10th House of career. Jupiter’s transit here can bring a promotion to a higher position at work or an increase in positive reputation.

Jupiter will start moving backwards (retrograde) on 12 Nov 2025, before re-entering Gemini on 5 Dec, where the blessings on the 9th House mentioned above will resume.

Transit of Saturn

Unlike Jupiter, Saturn is a malefic planet, i.e. it causes problems and difficulties wherever it goes. Saturn tends to bring a sense of tediousness and contraction. What used to be easy and quick now seems to take more time and effort. Saturn also tends to dull the colours of life and makes things more monotone.

Saturn has been in the sign of Aquarius since 23 Oct 2022, which is in the 5th House for Libra rising and will remain here until 30 Mar 2025. Though it is a malefic, being in its own sign of Aquarius will make Saturn better behaved, and still grant benefits along side with challenges.

The 5th House represents children, intellect and decision making. Saturn here provides a wonderful support to understanding things from a long-term perspective, and helps us avoid making rash decisions that only focused on short-term gains. Saturn can indicate delays if you are trying for a child, though the delay may well turn out to be beneficial instead. If you already have children, Saturn may indicate a process of your children maturing and being able to take good care of themselves.

Saturn finally moves into Pisces on 30 Mar 2025, and will remain here for the rest of 2025. Pisces is the 6th House for Libra rising and represents health issues and pets. Saturn here can bring about tiredness and fatigue, and sometimes a sense of burnout. Saturn may also bring up illnesses that have been developing in the body for some time. So please do go for a health check up if you haven’t done so in recent time, and allocate sufficient time to rest and recharge. If you have pets, there is a greater likelihood of your pets falling ill, so please keep an eye out on their health so that they can get treated promptly when they do fall sick.

Transit of Rahu

Like Saturn, Rahu, also known as the North Node, is also a malefic and signifies that which is unfamiliar and foreign. It can also represent things and events that are unexpected, sudden, or shocking.

Rahu is currently in the sign of Pisces in the 6th House. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. As mentioned earlier, the 6th House represents health issues. Rahu’s transit here can bring up sudden and unexpected illnesses or even accidents. The 6th House can also represent employees, and Rahu’s presence here can bring about trust issues with your employees. It is best to clarify matters clearly with your team and make sure everyone is on the same page.

On 18 May 2025, Rahu will enter Aquarius in the 5th House of our children, intellect and decision making, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Like Saturn, Rahu is also the lord of Aquarius, so Rahu will not cause as much difficulty and challenges as he would in other signs.

Rahu in the 5th House can indicate a time when your children are overseas and away from you, a time for them to try new experiences. Rahu in his own sign here can also make us shrewd in our decision making, allowing us to identify and capitalise on good deals and opportunities.

Transit of Ketu

Ketu is the shadowy twin of Rahu and is also a malefic. Ketu is associated with confusion and uncertainty. Wherever it is in the chart, there tends to be a sense of being lost and not knowing what to do.

Ketu is currently in Virgo. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. For Libra rising charts, Virgo is the 12th House of expenses and foreign travel. Ketu here can indicate additional expenses due to mistakes and errors. Perhaps you forgot to make an advance reservation for a train ticket and end up having to pay much more when you purchase the ticket on the day of travel.

On 18 May 2025, Ketu will enter Leo, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Leo is the 11th House of income and friends. Ketu is associated with the number “0” (or “shunya” in Sanskrit). Hence, Ketu in the 11th House can indicate a decrease in income (possibly due to mistakes or missed opportunities) or our circle of friends becoming smaller. You may wish to be more mindful of your spending at the moment and put more away into your savings account.
