2025 is just around the corner and it is time to have a glimpse of what may come in this new year. But first, some preliminaries.

This series is arranged by rising signs or ascendants, not your Sun sign. Secondly, these rising signs are based on the sidereal zodiac, not the more commonly seen tropical zodiac.

Please also note that these forecasts are based only on your rising sign and does not take your whole natal chart into account. The planets in your natal chart will further modify these forecasts, so if you would like a more accurate forecast, it is best that you get a reading from your astrologer.

Right, let’s get to the focus of this post. This series will focus on the transits of the slower moving planets, namely Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. All of these planets will change signs during the 2nd quarter of 2025, which can make this a rather eventful period.

Transit of Jupiter

Below lists the transit of Jupiter through the zodiac signs in 2025.

• 15 May 2025 ingress into Gemini
• 18 Oct 2025 ingress into Cancer (exaltation)
• 12 Nov 2025 station retrograde in Cancer
• 5 Dec 2025 retrograde back into Gemini

Among the 9 “planets”, Jupiter is the greatest benefic. It brings blessings, expansion, opportunities and protection wherever it goes.

For those with Scorpio as their rising sign, Jupiter has been in your 7th House since 1 May 2024 (i.e. for the past 7 months) and will remain here until 15 May 2025. The 7th House signifies relationships and partnerships. Jupiter itself also carries the significations of marriage and commitment, so this is a good period to be in relationships and/or partnerships. If you are already in one, then enjoy and celebrate the relationship / partnership that you have.

On 15 May 2025, Jupiter moves into Gemini, which is the 8th House for Scorpio rising charts. The 8th House signifies loans, chronic illnesses and arcane studies such as astrology. Jupiter in this house can indicate repayment of previous loans, relief for chronic illnesses (though not necessarily a cure) or meeting a guru(Jupiter signifies teachers and gurus) that you can learn arcane studies from.

On 18 Oct 2025, Jupiter will leave Gemini briefly and enter Cancer, i.e. Jupiter’s blessing on the 8th House will be paused. Cancer is the sign of exaltation for Jupiter, i.e. it is the sign where Jupiter is most able to bring forth his blessings.

For Scorpio rising charts, Cancer is in the 9th House of father, guru and dharma. Jupiter here can indicate fortune and blessings from the father and/or the guru. You may also come across a wonderful teacher that will provide the right guidance and counsel for you. Dharma can loosely be understood as “duty”, so Jupiter exalted here can represent reaping the fruits from the duties you had performed previously.

Jupiter will start moving backwards (retrograde) on 12 Nov 2025, before re-entering Gemini on 5 Dec, where the blessings on the 8th House mentioned above will resume.

Transit of Saturn

Unlike Jupiter, Saturn is a malefic planet, i.e. it causes problems and difficulties wherever it goes. Saturn tends to bring a sense of tediousness and contraction. What used to be easy and quick now seems to take more time and effort. Saturn also tends to dull the colours of life and makes things more monotone.

Saturn has been in the sign of Aquarius since 23 Oct 2022, which is in the 4th House for Scorpio rising and will remain here until 30 Mar 2025. Though it is a malefic, being in its own sign of Aquarius will make Saturn better behaved, and still grant benefits along side with challenges.

The 4th House represents our physical home, our emotions, and our mother. Saturn here can cause some delays in the purchase of a home or perhaps a decision to renovate your home in a traditional style. Saturn can also indicate your mother being more tired than usual and needing rest, or may indicate health issues.

Emotionally, you may feel less connected with others, or have a greater need than before to spend time alone by yourself. Take this chance to recharge emotionally, but please do continue to stay connected with a few close friends and family. Extended periods of isolation is not good for mental and emotional health.

Saturn finally moves into Pisces on 30 Mar 2025, and will remain here for the rest of 2025. Pisces is the 5th House for Scorpio rising, and it represents our children, intellect and decision making. This is not an ideal period for trying for a child and would require more effort and time than you would have expected, so be mentally prepared.

Saturn in the 5th House can cause us to make poor decisions or make them too late, hence missing out on opportunities. Don’t sit on decisions for too long, and do run them through a trusted person to make sure all is in order before committing.

Transit of Rahu

Like Saturn, Rahu, also known as the North Node, is also a malefic and signifies that which is unfamiliar and foreign. It can also represent things and events that are unexpected, sudden, or shocking.

Rahu is currently in the sign of Pisces in the 5th House. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. As mentioned earlier, the 5th House represents our children, intellect and decision making. Similar to Saturn, Rahu can indicate difficulties when trying for a child. If you already have children, then Rahu may also indicate challenges that they are facing in their lives, and they might need your support as a parent.

Rahu in the 5th House can cause us to make poor decisions out of desire, rather than basing our decision on what is actually good for us. As mentioned before, run important decisions through a trusted person to make sure they are sound before committing.

On 18 May 2025, Rahu will enter Aquarius in the 4th House of our physical home and our emotions, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Like Saturn, Rahu is also the lord of Aquarius, so Rahu will not cause as much difficulty and challenges as he would in other signs.

Emotionally, Rahu can create emotional dissonance. We may feel that we are no longer fitting in wherever we are, or perhaps a craving for something new and different. In line with this, Rahu can also indicate moving overseas, in search of emotional groundedness. This can be a good time to explore and gain new experiences.

Transit of Ketu

Ketu is the shadowy twin of Rahu and is also a malefic. Ketu is associated with confusion and uncertainty. Wherever it is in the chart, there tends to be a sense of being lost and not knowing what to do.

Ketu is currently in Virgo. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. For Scorpio rising charts, Virgo is the 11th House of income and friends. Ketu is associated with the number “0” (or “shunya” in Sanskrit). Hence, Ketu in the 11th House can indicate a decrease in income (possibly due to mistakes or missed opportunities) or our circle of friends becoming smaller.

On 18 May 2025, Ketu will enter Leo, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Leo is the 10th House of career. Ketu here can create troubling and confusing situations at work that are difficult to get out of, somewhat like being stranded in the ocean not knowing when or how rescue would come. Ask for help where needed and trust the process. Ketu can also signifies mistakes, so it is best to be extra careful and thorough with your work.
