2025 is just around the corner and it is time to have a glimpse of what may come in this new year. But first, some preliminaries.

This series is arranged by rising signs or ascendants, not your Sun sign. Secondly, these rising signs are based on the sidereal zodiac, not the more commonly seen tropical zodiac.

Please also note that these forecasts are based only on your rising sign and does not take your whole natal chart into account. The planets in your natal chart will further modify these forecasts, so if you would like a more accurate forecast, it is best that you get a reading from your astrologer.

Right, let’s get to the focus of this post. This series will focus on the transits of the slower moving planets, namely Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. All of these planets will change signs during the 2nd quarter of 2025, which can make this a rather eventful period.

Transit of Jupiter

Below lists the transit of Jupiter through the zodiac signs in 2025.

• 15 May 2025 ingress into Gemini
• 18 Oct 2025 ingress into Cancer (exaltation)
• 12 Nov 2025 station retrograde in Cancer
• 5 Dec 2025 retrograde back into Gemini

Among the 9 “planets”, Jupiter is the greatest benefic. It brings blessings, expansion, opportunities and protection wherever it goes.

For those with Sagittarius as their rising sign, Jupiter has been in your 6th House since 1 May 2024 (i.e. for the past 7 months) and will remain here until 15 May 2025. The 6th House signifies employees or servants, pets and also health issues. If you are a business owner, Jupiter here may bring a wonderful employee that turns out to be a good support for you, i.e. this period (from now until 15 May 2025) is a good period for hiring. If you are thinking of getting a pet, this may also be a good time to do so. However, as the house of health issues, Jupiter’s presence here can bring about challenges in health stemming from opulence, such as overeating or eating foods that are far too rich. So be mindful of your eating habits and take good care of your health.

On 15 May 2025, Jupiter moves into Gemini, which is the 7th House for Sagittarius rising charts. The 7th House signifies relationships and partnerships. Jupiter itself also carries the significations of marriage and commitment, so this can be a good period to be together in relationships and/or partnerships. If you are already in one, then enjoy and celebrate the relationship / partnership that you have.

On 18 Oct 2025, Jupiter will leave Gemini briefly and enter Cancer, i.e. Jupiter’s blessing on the 7th House will be paused. Cancer is the sign of exaltation for Jupiter, i.e. it is the sign where Jupiter is most able to bring forth his blessings. For Sagittarius rising charts, Cancer is in the 8th House of loans, chronic illnesses and arcane studies such as astrology. Jupiter exalted in this house can indicate repayment of previous loans, relief for chronic illnesses (though not always a cure) or meeting an awesome guru(Jupiter signifies teachers and gurus) that you can learn arcane studies from.

Jupiter will start moving backwards (retrograde) on 12 Nov 2025, before re-entering Gemini on 5 Dec, where the blessings on the 7th House mentioned above will resume.

Transit of Saturn

Unlike Jupiter, Saturn is a malefic planet, i.e. it causes problems and difficulties wherever it goes. Saturn tends to bring a sense of tediousness and contraction. What used to be easy and quick now seems to take more time and effort. Saturn also tends to dull the colours of life and makes things more monotone.

Saturn has been in the sign of Aquarius since 23 Oct 2022, which is in the 3rd House for Sagittarius rising. Though it is a malefic, being in its own sign of Aquarius will make Saturn better behaved, and still grant benefits along side with challenges. The 3rd House signifies siblings and short journeys. You may encounter more frequent delays or obstacles on your short journeys(such as travelling to the city centre for meetings), though these delays have a way of working in your favour.

Saturn’s presence here can create distance between you and your siblings. You may feel that you both have grown apart and are not talking to each other as much as before, but because Saturn is in his own sign there is unlikely to be any animosity here, just the realities of life creating the distance.

Saturn finally moves into Pisces on 30 Mar 2025, and will remain here for the rest of 2025. Pisces is the 4th House for Sagittarius rising, and it represents our physical home, our emotions, and our mother. Saturn here can cause delays in the purchase or renovation of a home, so do cater for more time than you think you need. Saturn can also indicated challenges for your mother, health-wise or financially.

Emotionally, you may feel less connected with others, or have a greater need than before to spend time alone by yourself. Take this chance to recharge emotionally, but please do continue to stay connected with a few close friends and family. Extended periods of isolation is not good for mental and emotional health.

Transit of Rahu

Like Saturn, Rahu, also known as the North Node, is also a malefic and signifies that which is unfamiliar and foreign. It can also represent things and events that are unexpected, sudden, or shocking.

Rahu is currently in the sign of Pisces in the 4th House. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. As mentioned earlier, the 4th House represents our physical home, our emotions, and our mother. Rahu here can cause unexpected situations to show up for our home, such as a water leak or perhaps an unexpected jump in rent that forces you to look for another place to stay. Rahu may also indicate accidents or health issues for the mother.

Emotionally, Rahu can give a sense of being “all over the place” and a lack of groundedness. There may also be confusion and lack of clarity in what you need emotionally to be happy and stable.

On 18 May 2025, Rahu will enter Aquarius in the 3rd House of siblings and short journeys, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Like Saturn, Rahu is also the lord of Aquarius, so Rahu will not cause as much difficulty and challenges as he would in other signs.

Rahu here can cause your relationship with your siblings to take an unexpected turn. Perhaps your sibling decided to move overseas for a period of time, and the relationship will take a back seat. You may also meet a foreigner and form a sibling like relationship with this person. In terms of journeys, Rahu may take you on an unplanned trip to somewhere new and unfamiliar, thus creating new experiences for you.

Transit of Ketu

Ketu is the shadowy twin of Rahu and is also a malefic. Ketu is associated with confusion and uncertainty. Wherever it is in the chart, there tends to be a sense of being lost and not knowing what to do.

Ketu is currently in Virgo. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. For Sagittarius rising charts, Virgo is the 10th House of career. Ketu here can create troubling and confusing situations at work that are difficult to get out of, somewhat like being stranded in the ocean not knowing when or how rescue would come. Ketu can also signifies mistakes, so it is best to be extra careful and thorough with your work.

On 18 May 2025, Ketu will enter Leo, and remain there for the rest of 2025. Leo is in the 9th House of father and dharma. Ketu here may indicate challenges for the father. It may be health-wise or financial.

There may also be confusion around dharma. Dharma can be loosely understood as “duty” or what one should do. So Ketu’s transit here can be a time when we relook at and get clarity on, what it means for us to be a child, a parent or a spouse, and what duties do we need to fulfil. Few duties are pleasurable, but they need to be done nonetheless.
