2025 is just around the corner and it is time to have a glimpse of what may come in this new year. But first, some preliminaries.

This series is arranged by rising signs or ascendants, not your Sun sign. Secondly, these rising signs are based on the sidereal zodiac, not the more commonly seen tropical zodiac.

Please also note that these forecasts are based only on your rising sign and does not take your whole natal chart into account. The planets in your natal chart will further modify these forecasts, so if you would like a more accurate forecast, it is best that you get a reading from your astrologer.

Right, let’s get to the focus of this post. This series will focus on the transits of the slower moving planets, namely Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. All of these planets will change signs during the 2nd quarter of 2025, which can make this a rather eventful period.

Transit of Jupiter

Below lists the transit of Jupiter through the zodiac signs in 2025.

• 15 May 2025 ingress into Gemini
• 18 Oct 2025 ingress into Cancer (exaltation)
• 12 Nov 2025 station retrograde in Cancer
• 5 Dec 2025 retrograde back into Gemini

Among the 9 “planets”, Jupiter is the greatest benefic. It brings blessings, expansion, opportunities and protection wherever it goes.

For those with Capricorn as their rising sign, Jupiter has been in your 5th House since 1 May 2024 (i.e. for the past 7 months) and will remain here until 15 May 2025. The 5th House signifies children, intellect and decision making. Jupiter’s presence in the 5th House is a good time period to try for children, or perhaps a child will come to you during this time. Jupiter can also be a wonderful support in helping you make sound decisions, so make use of this period (until 15 May 2025) to make important decisions.

On 15 May 2025, Jupiter moves into Gemini, which is the 6th House for Capricorn rising charts. The 6th House signifies employees or servants, pets and also health issues. If you are a business owner, Jupiter here may bring a wonderful employee that turns out to be a good support for you, i.e. this period (18 Oct – 12 Nov 2025) is a good period for hiring. If you are thinking of getting a pet, this may also be a good time to do so. However, as the house of health issues, Jupiter’s presence here can bring about challenges in health stemming from opulence, such as overeating or eating foods that are far too rich. So be mindful of your eating habits and take good care of your health.

On 18 Oct 2025, Jupiter will leave Gemini briefly and enter Cancer, i.e. Jupiter’s blessing on the 6th House will be paused. Cancer is the sign of exaltation for Jupiter, i.e. it is the sign where Jupiter is most able to bring forth his blessings. For Capricorn rising charts, Cancer is in the 7th House of relationships and partnerships. Jupiter itself also carries the significations of marriage and commitment, so this is a wonderful period for relationships and partnerships. If you are thinking about committing in a relationship or a business partnership, this period (18 Oct – 12 Nov 2025. Seems short but there’s more coming in 2026) is a good time to do so. If you are already in one, then enjoy and celebrate the relationship / partnership that you have.

Jupiter will start moving backwards (retrograde) on 12 Nov 2025, before re-entering Gemini on 5 Dec, where the blessings on the 6th House mentioned above will resume.

Transit of Saturn

Unlike Jupiter, Saturn is a malefic planet, i.e. it causes problems and difficulties wherever it goes. Saturn tends to bring a sense of tediousness and contraction. What used to be easy and quick now seems to take more time and effort. Saturn also tends to dull the colours of life and makes things more monotone.

Saturn has been in the sign of Aquarius since 23 Oct 2022, which is in the 2nd House for Capricorn rising. Though it is a malefic, being in its own sign of Aquarius will make Saturn better behaved, and still grant benefits along side with challenges. The 2nd House signifies finances and savings. During this period, there can be hard work involved in growing your finances. It is also possible that the elders in your family come to your support during this period, be it financially or otherwise.

Saturn finally moves into Pisces on 30 Mar 2025, and will remain here for the rest of 2025. Pisces is the 3rd House for Capricorn rising, and is the house of siblings and short journeys. You may encounter more frequent delays or obstacles on your short journeys(such as travelling to the city centre for meetings).

Saturn’s presence here can create distance between you and your siblings. You may feel that you both have grown apart and are not talking to each other as much as before. Nurturing any relationship takes love, care and time. Now (before 30 Mar 2025) is a good time to focus and deepen your relationship with your siblings to minimise the upcoming impact from Saturn.

Transit of Rahu

Like Saturn, Rahu, also known as the North Node, is also a malefic and signifies that which is unfamiliar and foreign. It can also represent things and events that are unexpected, sudden, or shocking.

Rahu is currently in the sign of Pisces in the 3rd House. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. As mentioned earlier, the 3rd House represents our siblings and short journeys. Rahu here can cause your relationship with your siblings to take an unexpected turn for the worse, perhaps your sibling did or said something shocking that it caused a rift between you two. Rahu may bring up unexpected situations that makes your short journeys unpleasant, perhaps a weather condition that closed roads on the day that you need to make an important presentation to a client.

On 18 May 2025, Rahu will enter Aquarius in the 2nd House of finances, savings and close family, and remain here for the rest of 2025. Like Saturn, Rahu is also the lord of Aquarius, so Rahu will not cause as much difficulty and challenges as he would in other signs.

When Rahu is in the 2nd House, there can be unexpected expenditures or situations that dip into your savings. As mentioned earlier, Rahu represents that which is foreign. If you have savings in a foreign currency or fixed assets overseas, those are likely to give better yield.

In terms of close family, Rahu’s transit through the 2nd House may bring you close to a group of foreigners, close enough that you consider them like “family”. If you had indeed moved overseas recently, then this could also mean having a group of friends there that you feel at home with.

Transit of Ketu

Ketu is the shadowy twin of Rahu and is also a malefic. Ketu is associated with confusion and uncertainty. Wherever it is in the chart, there tends to be a sense of being lost and not knowing what to do, like being stranded on a boat in the endless ocean.

Ketu is currently in Virgo. It has been here since 30 Oct 2023 and will remain here until 18 May 2025. For Capricorn rising charts, Virgo is in the 9th House of father and dharma. Ketu here may indicate challenges for the father. It may be health-wise or financial.

There may also be confusion around dharma. Dharma can be loosely understood as “duty” or what one should do. So Ketu’s transit here can be a time when we relook at, and get clarity on, what it means for us to be a child, a parent or a spouse, and what duties do we need to fulfil.

On 18 May 2025, Ketu will enter Leo, and remain there for the rest of 2025. For Capricorn rising charts, Leo is in the 8th House of debt, loans and chronic health issues. Ketu here can cause confusion and mistakes when dealing with debt and loans, perhaps taking on more than what you could repay due to a miscalculation. If you do need to take on a loan, it is best to have a trusted person to help you look through the loan conditions and make sure everything is in order before signing.

Ketu’s transit here may have also triggered chronic illnesses that may be difficult to diagnose and treat. If you haven’t had a health checkup in recent times, you may wish to get one before 18 May 2025, so you can catch and treat any health issues early on.
